Cappelstud is a unique stud of Welsh Cobs section D and C and located in beautiful surroundings.
The stud started in 1976 and the first Welsh Cob that came to our stud was the stallion Emmickhovens Vitesse in 1982.
Most of our Welsh Cobs are imported directly from Wales and registered in the studbook in Wales. The young stock is also registered in the mother studbook.
Our Welsh Cobs are bred for type, nice temperament, willingness to work and good movement with the capacity to perform in all disciplines.

Our former stallion Cappells Dandy excelled for riding and driving in a number of shows in Holland and Belgium.
Emmickhovens Vitesse is the most famous stallion from our stud.

The Frontier Show for Welsh Ponies and Cobs takes place at our stud sinds 1982, not only for the in-hand-show, but also for riding and driving. The number of entries for the “working classes” are growing each year. We always try to invite a Judge from Wales.

On special request we started with a limited number of Irish Cobs.
